August 18, 2005, Lexington, NC – The Media Matters, Inc., located in Lexington, N.C. has hired Wendy Strader to fill the newly created position of Production Coordinator. In this position, Strader will serve as The Media Matters’ liaison to all vendors and be responsible for vendor selection, quality control and time and material management.

" We have evolved from being a primarily public relations and media planning firm to a full service marketing and advertising agency,” said owner and founder Kathy Wall. “We now provide brand management, collateral development and event planning as well as marketing support. Having Wendy on board will enable us to give our clients more day-to-day support and a higher level of service.”

Strader most recently worked as a production manager for Gasque Marketing and Advertising in West Columbia, S.C., a firm serving clients in fields like NASCAR and medicine. Previously she was in sales with Pepsi® Direct, where she handled multi-million dollar accounts and recovered nearly one million dollars in lost revenue each year.

Strader is a graduate of Winston Salem State University, and holds a degree in applied studies with a concentration in public relations and advertising. She has spearheaded fundraising campaigns for The United Way and The March of Dimes. She was co-coordinator for the Angel Tree Project at Pepsi-Cola, supporting the Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Winston Salem. She also has assisted in ad development and annual fundraising for the Mental Health Association and Brenner Children’s Hospital, both in Winston Salem.

The Media Matters, Inc. is a NC-based agency. Clients include home furnishings manufacturers, retailers, and well-known brands whose products are primarily supported by female consumers. They also provide services to non-profit organizations, technology, and brand management firms.
